Joblist | FAQ

The SDZeCOM Joblist extends Centric PXM™ with a flexible rights model for the use of active jobs.
This allows jobs to be linked to roles and rights not only in terms of their executability, but also in terms of their visibility.
This makes the system clearer, more secure, and better adapted to individual user requirements.

1. What is the SDZeCOM job list?

Joblist is an extension for Centric PXM™ that allows the use and display of active jobs to be linked to a fine-grained rights model.
This means that users only see and use the jobs that are relevant to their role.
This ensures a clear structure and prevents unintended actions by unauthorized users.

2. How does the solution work?

The job list is provided in a separate studio within Centric PXM™.
There, a rights model can be used for specifying roles or user groups that are allowed to view or run certain jobs.
Visibility is controlled dynamically - changes to permissions immediately affect the display of the job list.

3. Which systems are supported?

The solution is compatible with:

  • Centric PXM™ | SaaS

  • Centric PXM™ | On-Premise

4. Are there any technical requirements or dependencies?

No special technical requirements are necessary.
The job list can be integrated directly into existing Centric PXM™ instances.

5. What are the advantages of this solution?
  • Control the visibility and runability of active jobs.

  • Clear overview for users thanks to reduced display of role-relevant jobs.

  • Increased security and control over system actions.

  • Simplified administration of job permissions.

6. What are some typical use cases?
  • Restriction of job visibility for specific user groups

  • Role-specific control of system job executability

  • Prevention of operating errors through targeted authorization assignment

7. How is the solution used in Centric PXM™?

Administrators use the dedicated Joblist Studio to configure which user roles are allowed to access which jobs.
The display of active jobs is then automatically adjusted to the defined permissions.
End users only see the jobs that are relevant to them, which greatly simplifies operation and system administration.

8. Can permissions be assigned dynamically or automatically?

Yes, permissions can be configured to automatically follow the respective user roles. Changes to roles take effect immediately in the job list.

9. Is the solution compatible with existing security policies?

The job list can be fully integrated into the existing Centric PXM™ rights management system and supports internal company security and governance requirements.
