The SDZeCOM Rules+ module extends Centric PXM™ with a powerful framework for rule-based data validation, workflow control, and automation.
With Rules+, data quality checks can be flexibly configured, integrated directly into workflows, and used for dynamic process control.
This transforms manual quality control into an automated, traceable, and efficient data quality process.

1. What is the Rules+ module?

The Rules+ module is an extension for Centric PXM™ that enables rule-based control of data quality checks and workflows.
It provides a configurable framework that can be used to validate data based on defined rules and automatically trigger actions such as class assignments, workflow steps, or tagging.
Rules+ thus ensures a consistent, transparent, and high-quality database throughout the entire PXM system.

2. How does the solution work?
  • The module enables the creation, management, and execution of rules that are applied to product, media, or class data.

  • Rules can be defined and activated via an intuitive user interface.

  • Checks are performed in real time on live data, ensuring that the current data status is always evaluated.

  • The results of the checks are clearly visualized and can be integrated directly into workflows.

  • Using the BPM Workflow Manager, rule actions can automatically trigger or influence workflows.

Examples:

  • If a product does not contain a main image → Start the “Check images” workflow.

  • If a mandatory attribute is missing → Set product status to “incomplete.”

7. How is the solution used in Centric PXM™?

Rules+ is fully integrated into the Centric PXM™ user interface.
Rules are configured directly in the module and can be activated or deactivated individually.
Results are displayed in quality reports or workflows, where they can be further processed.
Integration with the BPM Workflow Manager allows processes to be started or decisions to be made automatically based on rule results—without manual intervention.

8. Can you create or import your own rules?

Yes. Users can create custom rules directly via the user interface or import existing rule definitions.
This allows for quick adaptation to new quality requirements or data structures.

9. Can rule checks be performed automatically and regularly?

Yes. Rules+ supports time- or event-driven execution of rules, e.g., after data imports, workflow transitions, or product changes.

10. Can data quality check results be exported or reported?

Yes. Results can be exported via reports or displayed as dashboard components in Centric PXM™.
This makes data quality measurable and traceable.
