SDZeCOM Workflow Utils extend the workflow functionality of Centric PXM™ with numerous additional options for action.
They provide a collection of practical function components that can be used for customizing workflows to individual business processes - without any programming.
This makes workflow management in Centric PXM™ significantly more flexible, powerful, and easier to configure.

1. What are Workflow Utils?

Workflow Utils are an extension of the standard workflow actions in Centric PXM™.
They supplement the existing functions with frequently required components that are not included in the standard version - e.g., starting Active Scripts, resolving MAM or product references, or advanced e-mail options.
This allows processes in the PIM system to be efficiently automated without the need for custom scripts or technical adjustments.

2. How does the solution work?

After installation, additional actions are available in the workflow configuration that can be used as standard workflow steps:

  • Active Script Starter: Start defined Active Scripts directly from the workflow.

  • References: Automatically resolve DAM or product references.

  • Smart Docs Integration: Select languages and multiple presets for automatic document generation.

  • Advanced e-mail actions: Additional recipient logic, CC/BCC options, or dynamic placeholders.

  • Other utility functions: Additional actions that make standard processes more efficient.

All extensions can be configured via the workflow interface—no programming required.

This makes it easy to extend standard workflows with additional logic - for example, for data verification, document generation, or notification.
