SDZeCOM Abbreviations is a productivity solution for Centric PXM™ that allows multi-level abbreviation rules to be managed in a dedicated studio. A string function can be used to automatically shorten attribute values according to defined rules and character limits.


1. What is the goal of the SDZeCOM Abbreviations Solution?

The solution enables centralized and consistent management of abbreviation rules to automatically shorten texts or product names to a defined length. This is particularly useful for target systems with character restrictions (e.g., shops, marketplaces, catalog systems).

2. How does the abbreviation work in practice?

The Abbreviations Studio defines rules that determine how terms are to be abbreviated. Centric PXM™ applies this logic using its own string function to transform attribute values according to the rules.

3. Which systems are supported?

The solution is compatible with:

4. Are there any technical requirements for installation or use?

No. There are no special requirements. The solution can be integrated and used directly in the Centric PXM™ system.
