Asset Archive | Archiving

If you right-click on an asset in the DAM, the option “Upload and versioning” appears instead of “Upload and replace”. However, this is only the case if archiving has been configured for the volume in which the asset is stored.

“Upload and replace” can still be accessed via right mouse button > Object.

When an asset is archived, the structure of the source volume is replicated in the target volume.

The predecessor of the asset is stored there. A version number is appended to the file name as a suffix with “_v”.
