To assign classes based on rules, the rule to be applied is selected directly in the class.
The class is then automatically assigned to the object if the rule is fulfilled.
It is not possible to manually assign this class to objects that do not fulfill the rule criteria (additive assignment is not possible).
Workaround: If a class is to be assigned both automatically (via a rule) and manually, you can create a duplicate class or a child class (which inherits all information from the parent class) without an Autoclass rule and use it for manual assignment.
